What to Bring?    In-Coming Guest Questionnaire    Info Request

 All the horseback riding one could want: crossing streams, though canyons, high-desert  sagebrush, or mountain meadows and pines:
 • Cattle drives and/or scenic trail rides
 • Monday morning Orientation Session on Western Riding and Horsemanship
 • Ride willing and well-broke working ranch horses along side real cowboys and  cowgirls
 • Overnight pack trip to the secluded Upper Hideout in the Big Horn Mountains  (weather permitting)

 Luxurious accommodations -- private, spacious cabins or casitas with:
 • Porches and rocking chairs
 • Individual air and heat
 • High-speed DSL Internet
 • Satellite TV
 • Coffee maker, Refrigerator
 • Hair dryer, Bath robes 

Guest suites in the Main Lodge have same amenities as cabins and casitas except for shared porches without rocking chairs, no in-room coffee makers, yet greater access to the lodge's guest facilities such as rec rooms and laundry facilities.

All meals and refreshments prepared by culinary-schooled chefs:
• Welcome snack basket in your cabin, casita, or guest suite
• Hearty, hot breakfasts
• Scrumptious lunches
• Cocktail hour with appetizers
• Gourmet dinners with wine (cocktail, beer, or non-alcoholic beverage also an option)
• At least one cook-out (weather permitting), usually featuring Flitner Ranch choice Black Angus steaks

On-premise activities and amenities included
in your Cowboy Adventure Package:
• Catch-and-release fly fishing in Shell Creek
or fishing ponds (bring your rod & tackle)
• Hot tub
• Archery
• Rec rooms with:
-- Wide-screen TV with satellite channels
-- DVD collection of Western movies
-- Guest computer with internet access
-- Pool table
-- Board & card games
-- Books about the American West
• Guest laundry facilities

Optional on-premise activities:
• Always plenty of cattle work to be done on a working ranch this size, such as branding calves in the spring, rounding up stock in the fall, doctoring cows when needed.

• Trap shooting (nominal up charge)
• Rifle range (nominal up charge)

Excursions that may be arranged at additional expense:
• Dirty Annie’s Café & General Store (fishing licenses etc.), Hwy 14, Shell WY
• Dinosaur track sites
• Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Cody WY
(5 museums, with reduced admission if you mention that you are guests of The Hideout at Flitner Ranch)
• Cody Nite Rodeo, Cody WY
• Guided:
-- Pack trips into the mountain wilderness
-- Fly fishing trips
-- Nature & wildlife photography expeditions
-- Hunting trips
-- Tours of Yellowstone Nat’l Park

For instance, popular excursions to Cody, Wyoming can be arranged during a summer stay to enjoy the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in the daytime and the Cody Nite Rodeo that evening. Excursions are not included in Hideout Cowboy Adventure Packages, please inquire as to additional costs for transportation, tickets etc.

Otherwise, we encourage our guests to rent vehicles during their stay so they have the freedom to enjoy the other recreational and historical attractions in the region.

Suggestions regarding hiking, mountain biking, or snowmobiling trails on Flitner Ranch properties, Bighorn National Forest, or Cloud Peak Wilderness Area upon request. Maps also available.

The Hideout at Flitner Ranch is a year-round guest ranch/resort with three busy seasons of Spring, Summer, and Fall: spanning mid April through mid November. Please inquire regarding our wintertime offerings and guest packages, or dates other than noted in annual dates and rates. Check for special offers posted on the site.
