Colt Starting & Trouble Shooting

The Hideout has two wranglers on staff with experience in Colt Starting and several with Trouble shooting. Ramon Castro and Ben Longwell are accomplished trainers that have experience starting colts and working with problem horses.
Ben and Ramon are responsible for starting all of the horses at The Hideout and have extensive experience, having worked with over 1,500 horses.
All of these horses are being used either in the guest string at different levels of riding or in daily ranch work such as working cattle, roping, sorting, penning, etc.

Trail Riding Clinics & Cattle work
The Hideout prides itself in being one of the top working cattle and trail riding guest ranches in the area. Given the amount of trailering we do with our horses and the challenging terrain we ride with our guests, all of our wranglers and trainers are highly specialized to teach trail riding and cattle work on any level and in 4 different languages.

Team Approach to Horse training
Because of the different trainers & wranglers we have on staff and the consistent culture of natural horsemanship we can take a team approach to training horses and organizing clinics incorporating the variety of talents and experiences of our staff. At The Hideout this can all take place within a consistent framework of quality and respect for horse and rider.
All horses that come to The Hideout Premises need to have the necessary veterinarian health papers, in addition to proof of ownership.

Please contact the office for information or to set up an appointment: info@thehideout.com
