From May through October The Hideout has a full-time fly-fishing professional on staff. Our professional guide can teach you how to tie a fly and the techniques of fly-fishing. We have access to a variety of streams, ponds and casting ponds. Our program is fun for all including beginning and intermediate fly-fishers. Don’t worry about waders, tack or flies we have it all here for our guests.
Ride & Fish Days
One of our most popular activities is our Ride & Fish Program where we ride on horseback to a pristine mountain stream to go fishing. We fish for Brook trout in the mountains and this is the only time that we take our fish and prepare them on a wood fire for you to enjoy.
For all our other fishing we practice a catch & release policy.
Fly-fishing with our guide is included in your stay at The Hideout. The only thing you will need to buy is a daily fishing license.
Advanced, hard core fly-fishers who would like to fish everyday will find The Big Horn Mountains a fly-fishing paradise. You will seldom need to share the stream with others.
If you would to fish the nearby Greater Yellowstone Area, we can set you up with fly-fishing professionals in this area. This is billed separately.
We fish for Brown, Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brook Trout.
